Kate Bush with Stephen Fry - 50 Words for Snow
After kicking off my 2011 Christmas Playlist with the excellent Time of the Season by Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan, I had a bit of a “eureka” moment. It suddenly occurred to me that my Christmas Playlist should consist entirely of duets this year. So here’s another seasonal duet, the title track from Kate Bush’s just-released new album.
A Kate Bush/Stephen Fry duet sounds intriguing, but I confess that I have yet to manage to listen to this right to the end. The track consists of Stephen Fry saying 50 different words for snow, with Kate stepping in every now and again to tell him how many more he has to go. I usually give up somewhere around the 25 mark.
